This game was especially fitting as we are big supporters of Burnley lad Oliver Norwood who trains with us here at FX fitness whenever he’s home (and now plays for Reading and Northern Ireland). Although the Result didn’t go in Burnley’s favour with a 2-1 defeat, it was a great day out for Team FX Staff and family and our Matchday programme is proudly on display at the Fitness Experience Reception
Over 60 FX fitness Clients turned out on a Friday Night at Burnley Football Club to attend our FX Body Transformation Seminar in partnership with USN and the 12 Week Body Transformation Challenge. Jamie, Josh, Andy, Sue, Adam and Alex were on hand to offer advice, tips and live demonstrations on how to put good, nutritious meal plans together that hit your Macros. Ben Dewhurst from USN was also on hand to explain the USN 12 week Body Makeover Challenge that ALL FX clients were encouraged to sign up to with a chance to WIN £5000 cash (from USN not us!) A team of 30 from FX Fitness Experience in Burnley took on the toughest, muddiest obstacle course challenge of their lives at the North West Tough Mudder event in Cheshire on 15 September 2015.
‘Team FX’, from the Fitness Experience Personal training centre, Burnley put a team of 30 men and women from age 22 to 59 through the challenging endurance course . A family owned business meant that Mum- Sue Kennedy and 2 her sons Jamie and Josh (all Personal Trainers at the centre) undertook the course together with 25 clients and staff who train at the Personal Training centre.
Tough Mudder is a hardcore 12 mile obstacle and mud run event designed by British Special Forces to challenge the toughest of the tough. Electric shocks, icy water and endless filth – Tough Mudder is the endurance test that throws everything at its competitors. By the end of 2014 two million men and women aged 18 and over will have entered a Tough Mudder event. It even requires entrants to sign a death waiver!FX Tough Mudder North West
For most of us running 12 miles is challenge enough. A Tough Mudder course covers 12 miles of relentlessly muddy, hilly terrain. It hurls up to 20 sadistic roadblocks in your way from Electroshock Therapy -a curtain of live wires that emit 10,000 volts of electricity to ‘The Arctic Enema’ where participants plunge into a dumpster filled with ice water. You have to dive down to pass under a plank that crosses the tank to emerge on the other side. At the ‘Funky Monkey’ you will find a long run of butter- and mud-greased monkey bars at various inclines. The course is so difficult (‘Probably the toughest event on the planet,’ the Tough Mudder branding shouts), you enter as part of a team. Team support is vital and Team FX demonstrated a collaborative spirit and grit and determination to get them through the course, which took about 4 hours to complete.

So when BBC Sport need a Personal Trainer who works with Sports Professionals to comment and give advice on getting fit for the football season – who do they call? Our very own Jamie Kennedy – Owner /Manager of The Fitness Experience, Personal Training Centre in Burnley.
Jamie is an expert in his field and has been Personal Trainer to local football players for the last 3 years from the likes of Tottenham’s Kieran Trippier, Liverpool’s Danny Ings, Tottenham’s Kieran Trippier and Southampton’s Jay Rodriguez. Over 30 Fitness Experience clients of all different fitness levels and running ability turned out on Valentines Day morning wearing red to run a 10k run as part of TEAM FX annual programme of events and training plans.
The Valentines day run was the idea of Personal Trainer at FX Sue Kennedy who takes the FX Running Club every Wednesday night. Sue wanted to get clients in training for various running events and challenges ‘Team FX’ will be taking on this year from the Liverpool Half marathon, Pennine Lancashire 10k run and Tough Mudder North West in September. The Red Valentines Day theme also fitted nicely with the Fitness Experience’s support of the British Heart Foundation’s #WearItBeatIT campaign in February. So everyone who ran the 10k race made a donation to the British Heart Foundation.
The 10k route took in some of Burnley’s finest parks and countryside and was a warm up for the Pennine lancashire 10k run on 28th June in Burnley.
It was the first time several clients had ever run a 10k race whilst others were working on achieving their personal best. Whatever your running ability or fitness levels FX fitness have a personal training programme that can help you get fit and achieve things you never dreamed you could!
FX Clients Kate and Paul Healey – even joined us with their 4 week old baby girl ‘Elizabeth Grace’ -(our 1st FX baby!) – they walked the route with us and newborn baby Elizabeth has done her first 10k already (kind of!)

Staff & Clients at The Fitness Experience Personal Training Centre in Burnley are painting the place ‘RED’ today in Support of the British Heart Foundation ‘WEAR IT. BEAT IT’ day on Friday 6th February.
Since 6am clients and Personal Trainers have been encouraged to wear RED and participate in fitness challenges set by all the Personal trainers – Josh, Jamie, Alex, Sue, Andy and Tom . Clients have to make a donation to do the challenges!
There is also a challenge for all the Personal Trainers to complete before the end of the day – Which Personal trainer can do the most Burpees in 1 minute (and they are a very competitive bunch). Clients are being encouraged to pledge a donation and name the PT they think will win the Burpees Challenge
Even Burnley FC footballer Danny Ings called in to make a donation wearing his ‘RED’ trainers! Danny said he’s looking forward to seeing the video later of Jamie Kennedy doing the Burpees challenge !
